The beginning of 2025 is full of new projects!
The INTERREG France-Wallonie-Vlandereen project was officially launched at the Rencontres Régionales du Bâtiment Durable on March 13, with the aim of mass-marketing bio-sourced solutions in cross-border territories.
The first COPIL of the CHABLER project took place on March 18. The aim of the project is to define the conditions for integrating retted chenevotte for building applications, and to develop characterization tools.

Dylan Bégaud was at Orélans to train local players in the development of the hemp industry in the Centre-Val-de-Loire region, at the invitation of Envirobat Centre and with the support of the DREAL. FRD-CODEM trains players in hemp, the specificities of the field, harvesting, defibration and the various transformations required to obtain different markets. This is based in particular on feedback from different hemp farm models, and on market opportunities. A new basin study after Alsace, Belgium, New Caledonia, South Africa and Canada.

Publication of ADEME's market study on biobased products, carried out by CERESCO, B4C and FRD-CODEM.
With a market value of 10% and 22,000 to 40,000 direct jobs, biobased products are enjoying strong momentum. FRD - CODEM, has designed and developed a methodology for analyzing accessible markets in a given region for roofing and envelope insulation materials, and for all building types. This method has enabled Bâtlin, SDEA & Metropole de Strasbourg, and more recently IELO and CERESIA, to define accessible markets for new-build and renovation insulation products based on flax, hemp or chopped straw. This information are key to sizing production facilities and establishing the link between available resources and the market.
