Mobilizing plant materials for materials applications requires detailed characterization, as well as the implementation of specific tools and methods in the absence of standards.
Whether for R&D, quality control, certification or technical assessment, our Materials testing laboratory is at your service to characterize your products. For building products, the laboratory is accredited by COFRAC (accreditation n°1-7319, scope available on www.cofrac.fr).
Quality management is essential to the development of materials. We develop specific analysis and testing methods, and support you in the implementation of quality procedures (material control, ACERMI, etc.).

Un laboratoire pour développer les outils sur mesure de caractérisations et suivi qualité des biomasses : 4FM
4FM ( FARE & FRD-LAB common laboratory for Future Fibres and Materials) est un laboratoire sans mur créé entre le centre de ressources technologiques FRD-CODEM et l’UMR FARE de l’INRAE et de l’URCA.
4FM is developing a strategy aimed at providing farmers and manufacturers with innovative solutions for new strategies in integrated quality management of biomass and lignocellulosic fractions, from the field to finished products. These solutions, including Decision Support Tools (DST), are based on the use of rapid, reliable and reproducible techniques, adapted to the intrinsic heterogeneity of plant resources, as well as to the multiplicity of transformations and the diversity of application markets and their specificities.
Un laboratoire accrédité et notifié pour caractériser les produits du Bâtiment :
un partenaire de confiance pour mesurer et certifier vos produits
BATlab est le laboratoire d’essais de FRD-CODEM à Amiens, accrédité COFRAC selon la norme NF EN ISO/IEC 17025 (n°1-7319, portée disponible sur www.cofrac.fr) et organisme notifié NB 3230 pour le marquage CE des isolants thermiques.
BATlab mesure la conductivité thermique , la perméance à la vapeur d’eau, la sorption et l’absorption d’eau des isolants, y compris biosourcés : fibre de bois, laine de bois, liège, fibres végétales, ouate de cellulose en vrac. Du développement en R&D au marquage CE en passant par les mesures pour l’ACERMI, nous accompagnons les fabricants pour démontrer les performances de leurs produits.
