A major event on the use of plant fibers in plastics processing and composites. and composites.

Join us at the 7th edition of the symposium, to be held in Troyes on September 17 and 18, 2025!

A recognized event dedicated to the valorization of plant fibers in composites

Originally created by APM (ex. AFT plasturgie), this event has been taken up and expanded by FRD-CODEM since 2011, with the support of the plant fiber industry, key players in the bioeconomy such as the Bioeconomy For Change cluster (B4C ex. IAR) and the plastics and composites industry such as SFIP. It is a multi-year event that is recognized by both industrial and academic players. The event provides a comprehensive overview of a European perspective on the latest developments in the use of natural fibers in plastics and composites: availability and processability of agricultural materials, properties and optimization properties and optimization of fiber/polymer composites (interface, treatment, etc.), recycling and end-of-life, life-cycle analysis and eco-design, differentiating performance of biosourced materials, reinforcement innovations, and an update on applications in the automotive, mobility, construction, sports and leisure, aerospace, design and packaging sectors...

What's interesting for Neolife to be at the symposium is that there are a huge number of researchers who are not working on specific applications, but who have ideas that we can work on and try out.

Bernard Voisin

Chairman and co-founder of Néolife

A symposium is a place for exchange, where you can meet people involved in research and innovation. And I also think it's important for major contractors such as ourselves to be present, to demonstrate our determination to move in this direction and push the industry to succeed. to show our determination to move in this direction and to push the industry to succeed in the technical and economic challenges associated with these issues.

Gérard Liraut

Chairman of SFIP - Expert Leader Polymers for the Renault Group

APM blends polymers with natural fibers. It is a company that has benefited from a collaboration with the Forvia group to work in the automotive sector. In particular, we have worked for Stellantis Peugeot for the 3rd generation 308, in order tointroduce natural fibers into these automotive applications.

Pierre Demortain

General Manager, APM

FRD-CODEM acts as a link between the agricultural world and manufacturers. To standardize quality, to have specifications and processes that are consistent, and to arrive at a common development, as was as was said this morning. For we don't all have to look for solutions on our own: emulation is always interesting!

Sarah Mennuni

R&D engineer at PAVATEX

Our participation in the symposium will be an opportunity to promote the results obtained within the framework of the European SSUCHY project, which focuses entirely on hemp and hemp fiber composites. This symposium applications in the plastics industry in the form of short fibers. Today, hemp fiber has its place in structural and higher-tech applications.

Vincent Placet

Research engineer at Institut FEMTO-ST

Events like this one are needed to explain this natural fiber technology to everyone, and to find ways of working that will bring together the various operators in the value chain. chain. [...] We're going to see different players meeting, business cards being exchanged, discussions on a number of issues.

Gérard Liraut

Chairman of SFIP - Expert Leader Polymers for the Renault Group

What I'm also going to present at this symposium is the close links between R&D and the sports and leisure sector, and all the benefits this has brought us. I'll be showing our latest achievements in the field of appearance parts. parts. Looking forward to it!

Karim Behlouli

Director, NatUp Fibres

We've been taking part in this symposium since it was first held. Its appeal lies in its ability to bring together academia, industry and agriculture. We'll be looking at applications, innovation and technological technological breakthroughs. See you in September!

Laurence Dufrancatel

Director of Engineering, Forvia Group

Today, this symposium will enable us to put together solutions that are both technically ready and industrially ready, with an appetite for decarbonization that will increase tenfold. This isn't science fiction, where ephemeral demonstrators ephemeral demonstrators are legion. With FRD-CODEM, we're working in the real world, with our long experience and fine-tuned, relevant methodology in this field.

Pierre Demortain

General Manager, APM

I think the more of us who testify, the better [...] to encourage others to move forward too, to innovate, not to be afraid of the unknown. That's the great thing about not repeating things, but trying to do better. do better. At the symposium, we're going to show [...] that it's in our interest to take a close look at these plants, which are renewable and consume very little water and chemicals.

Sophie Vercelletto

Founder of Kaïros Environnement
